I am a Reggio-inspired and Montessori-certified teacher who is organizing a unique Spanish Immersion program in Spain. The village of Medina de Pomar is where locals have vacations and weeks off per its tourist attraction and its micro-climate in the summer. It offers an amazing and authentic Spanish Rural life experience. The program is intended to be for early years and primary students but older siblings are welcome. What is included: Children participant: An apartment for the family: Includes all bills and internet connection. The classroom rented for this program will be within walking distance from every apartment. Spanish immersion classes from 9 - 2 PM Spanish tapas-style lunch mid-day Learning experiences out three times a week: Bank ( to learn about money), Supermarket, Bakery, Ice Cream factory, Castle in Town, Public Library, etc. The intention is to develop Inquiry-based Language learning ( Students will do Interviews, questionnaires, and presentations about their learning). All teachers are Native Castilian- Spanish: Language, Art, Music, Bolos Burgaleses (Spanish Bowling) Cuisine, Bread Making, and Spanish history. We will offer Spanish dance classes as well. ( Burgos Jota) There will be two experienced Bilingual US certified teachers who will accommodate the Spanish curriculum along with the Spanish teacher ( from Spain). Also, two Bilingual teacher assistants at all times. There will be a Language assessment at the beginning and at the end of the program to verify the growth of their language acquisition. No initial Spanish level is required. Welcome, and Closing Lunch - Paella for everyone. Doctor 24/7 for our group to consult as a first aid. Playdates with native Spanish children/ adults and an outing with them. Suggestions for after-school, evening, and weekend outings ( Bilbao Guggenheim, Caves, Salt mine, cheese factory, Burgos Cathedral, etc) Transportation from and to Bilbao Airport. Enrichment classes in Spanish ( After school): Chess Club, Horseback riding, Horse Therapy, Swimming, Golf, and Yoga. We can offer a bilingual program ( 50% Spanish - 50% English) as we are bringing two native-speaker teachers from the US.
